There is absolutely NOTHING in the whole world that can be compared to the Oscars night. Think about it - all the splendor, success, enthusiasm, beauty, fashion & much more on one red carpet. Once a year I can’t move from the screen, and am curious to know who will concur the hearts this year, who will be the best actor, the best actress, the best motion picture and of course – who will be the best and worst dresser of the year.
This time accessories were not the main focus of every look, so I decided to make an exception, and include the outfits under the “accessories” section. Here are my best dressers for the 82nd Academy Awards, let me know if you agree with my choices…
On the top of my list stars Sandra Bullock with an amazing gleaming laced Marchesa dress to make her worth much-much more than a trophy…
The gracious Kate Winslet wore a humble-but-beautiful silver Salvatore Ferragamo dress that emphasized the Academy Award winner’s natural beauty.
Though she didn’t win the desirable award, Carey Mulligan had a beautiful black Prada dress. The contrast between Mulligan’s white and silky skin and the black sparkling dress created an astonishing appearance.
The white Armani Prive’ dress that Jennifer Lopez wore was another unforgettable outfit. The classic design along with Lopez’s perfect body was nothing less than breath-taker.
Beautiful Diane Kruger wore a black & white Chanel dress. To be honest, I tried to imagine myself wearing this dress, but I think Karl Lagerfeld would not be satisfied with the outcome…
“ Avatar” was one of the biggest losers of the Academy Awards this year. A fact that didn’t interfere with star Sigourney Weaver to glow on the red carpet, her red Lanvin dress along with the black belt and red diamonds piece of jewelry made her look like a winner.
Did you like my favorite picks? Do you prefer other outfits? Now is the time to share…
Till next time,
See you…

Hello my dear readers,
I haven’t been here for a long time. I took a vacation after the New Year’s rush, but now I am back with more strength than ever. Anyways, during my vacation I fell in love with a few watches and now I would like to share them with you.
In lieu of Valentine’s Day, the Swatch Company created an amazing Watch adorned with hearts and graffiti style romantic words. The watch looks like it was made during the late 80’s which is why I like it sooooo much. If you didn’t purchase a gift for the one you love yet, this might be your chance to earn some brownie points. And hey, if your honey doesn’t fall in love with the watch like I expect them too, keep it for yourself!!!
Another very romantic piece is this purple rose watch. I agree it’s a bit too romantic and sophisticated, but hey - isn’t love very sophisticated…? Hee hee hee.
The next 2 watches are very unique and right up my alley. The first one is made by the one only Dolce & Gabbana. The Test Card Watch was inspired by the first BBC electronic test cards and was portrayed on the dial. The thing I like the most is the fact that the D&G logo fits perfectly with the color bar embellishment. Another amazing feature of this watch is the retro-chic metal strip that adds a final touch making this an unforgettable watch.
Last but not least is the beautiful Dior Christal Mystérieuse Watch. This watch is not just any run of the mill watch, in typical Dior style it took five engineers, three Swiss watchmakers, an automotive and electro technical engineer to create. All the people working on this project spent seven years and ten million Swiss francs. If you ask me, no matter what you choose to wear, this watch will upgrade your appearance and make you glow. There is just a certain sophistication this watch has that you can choose to dress up or dress down.
So have an amazing Valentines Day and don’t forget to cherish every moment of love and passion you experience in life. There are never too many of those moments…
LOVE YOU,
D.

I know, I know, it’s a bit too early to think about New Years Eve. On the other hand – face it! It is NEVER too early to think about your loved ones and how can you make one night ordinary to extraordinary!
Now, if you are party animals, move on to another blog. Me, personally, I am not the biggest partier on New Years, I am pretty low pro. I like my New Years Eve spent at home; with the ones I love the most. Especially with this financial crisis upon us, cheap and chic is what it’s all about this 2009/2010 holiday season. So now I will set up THE perfect New Years Eve spent at home with the perfect atmosphere, good friends, champagne, food and music for all of you (including myself) to enjoy!
The first thing you need is a good bottle (or 2) of Champagne and couple of new shiny “flute” glasses. Once you crack open the good bubbly, the atmosphere will hit sooner or later… it always does after a few drinks, especially Champagne. Yummy……
Another very important element when it comes to creating the perfect, warm, New Years atmosphere is always candles. I strongly recommend those floating candles you light and place in water. They have an amazing aroma they look gorgeous and come in so many different colors and shapes, it’s endless. Also we cannot forget,” Vanilla” and “Gingerbread” scented candles. They are a must, it sets the “Holiday” atmosphere and smells like cookies! Who wouldn’t love that?!?!
Music – don’t be tempted to leave the house because of a lack of good tunes! Choose something special; love songs, happy ending stories, newer holiday tracks are all very very good. The music industry preys on us innocent folk to buy holiday music, and to be honest, its well worth the purchase and a lot cheaper than a New Years party ticket at a lounge or club.
Cooking – if you know how to cook, do it and go wild. If you don’t, stay out of the kitchen. New Years is not the holiday to experiment with food. Stay on the safe side and save yourself the aggravation – order in and buy something loaded with chocolate or an amazing cake. The best thing is to start the new year on a sweet note.
Clothing – That’s right, it’s freezing outside, and the last thing you want is to be left without any clothes, right? WRONG! With the right Victoria’s Secret outfit wrapped-up in a box with pretty hearts all over it, the decoration of the room can be changed in a sec… ummmm but wait for your guests to leave first, unless you are into that – then go for it!
Gifts – There is nothing more fun than buying a little “holiday teaser gift” for your ‘special “ someone I know that I am going to buy an amazing watch as my “orthodox” gift to be opened in front of the whole fam and of course another one that will be only between me and my special someone …………feel free to fill the dots with words)!
See you soon, Happy Holidays!

OK, now I’m pissed! No actually I am furious! Why did they take all the credit? Can you please explain this? It’s not like we are talking about some local fashion designer from Micronezia or Islamabad. We are talking about Jimmy Choo, Gucci, D&G and other world famous top designers.
I have an 82 year old grandma. When my Mom and her brothers were younger, they didn’t have much money and my grandma couldn’t afford to purchase shoes each and every season for all her kids. So, you ask, what did she do? It was a very simple solution that took 5 minutes and a nice sharp pair of scissors. Once the shoes were too small on her kids ever growing feet, my grandma used to chop the front of the shoes leaving the toes exposed. Does any of this sound familiar??????
50 years later Jimmy Choo will call it “peek-a-boo boots”. All the top models will own a pair (or two) and the catwalks will be overflowing this trendy look, which was all too familiar to my family decades ago. Since I can’t show you my mom’s peek-a-boo shoes, I will show you some current designs made by top names in fashion today!!!
Now you can decide if it’s Jimmy Choo or Gracia Illouz’s idea. I know the answer and I expect my smart and wise readers to be on my side here. By the way, if Mr. Choo is reading this, feel free to send me and my granny some compensation to make our feet sing…
See you next time with a special New Years Eve post…

There is something about the amazing Elvis Presley that overtakes me every time I see him. It’s not the music he plays, his gorgeous smile or the famous deep voice that resonates in my head every time I hear one of his songs. For me, there is something else creates that his mystic: Quite simply, it’s Elvis’s outfits.
His clothes and accessories are amazing!!!! His style and flashy outfits have always had a huge influence on my life. I simply adore his clothes. The great part is top designers from all walks of life are bringing back those famous “hunka hunka burnin love” styles to the runways and into our closest.
Take Marc Jacobs for example. He created this amazing bag embellished with decorative studs. I think it looks a bit too punk and maybe even childish, but at the same time it is unique and one of a kind. Imagine how great it would feel to walk around wearing this bag when suddenly you hear one of Elvis’s songs “Hound Dog”. If I were you, I would automatically start shaking my legs and curling my lip to the beat, OH AND do not forget to make sure everyone can see that I am sporting of course Marc Jacobs hot new “Elvis Inspired” bag so they don’t think I am totally insane!
Another gorgeous example of “Elvis Fever” is Alexander McQueen’s brass-knuckle accessory. The combination of Swarovski crystals and the skull is amazing. I think when you wear this kind of bold accessory we all feel a little bit like “The King” as if we have gone back in time to the era where Elvis was the master and all the rest were just imitations.
One last example is this Jacket and trousers <b>Karlie Closs</b> is wearing. Though the outfit is not the most sophisticated, the combination between the “harem” style pants and the shiny black jacket looks astonishing. If this is your style, you must pay attention to your hair. Without the right hairdo, the whole look turns from curious and sophisticated to rough and not sexy at all. Oh, and by the way, this Elvis-style vision belongs to designer Armand Basi.
So I am aware that the retro-chic look is here. I know that stores everywhere are selling items that my mom and grandma used to wear. I just wanted to share with you the fact that Elvis is alive in our hearts, we all know the “Elvis is Alive” theory, I am talking about the idea that his legacy lives on. The amazing thing is even though he died 32 years ago; his themes continue to fill the minds of artist and designers with lots of ideas and muses. If that’s not considered timeless, I don’t know what is. Remember people, there’s a little Elvis in us all, so every once in a while, curl that lip and shake those lips and if you must, slick back your hair………
Take care,
D.

I have a confession to make: I am in love. Now now, it’s not one of those pop star teenage crushes ok, not even the sexy Justin Timberlake this time, I am talking about R E A L love….I am talking about the ultimate queen. I am talking about THE - .Madonna!!!!!. But, I think you need a little explanation.
Not so long ago I went to the Madonna concert. She was on her show stopping “Sticky & Sweet” tour that I had the privilege of seeing her royal MADGEsty. The minute she got up on stage I could NOT take my eyes of her. She sang (even if it was a playback, I don’t care), she danced and smiled the whole time, she made me forget about all of my silly troubles and worries, she helped me to forget about the millions of questions I have running through my head regarding the future, she even made me forget about what the 60,000 people around me were thinking about the way I danced or the way I was SCREAMING MADONAAAAAAA I LOVE YOUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!

As a proper woman in love, I started to pay attention to her clothes. Now I know it’s very common to talk about Madonna’s bad/trashy taste in clothes, but allow me to say – I do not agree. Madonna has been collaborating with designer/stylist Arianne Philips for just about 11 years gathering top designers newest pieces, one offs and of course her own personal taste to complete the ever famous “Madonna look”, so before you diss the Miss, you had better know exactly who you are putting down. For example, the form fitting black suit she wore at the beginning of the show hugged her gorgeous body and perfect muscles was designed by none other than, Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci . I especially liked her thigh- high boots courtesy of Stella McCartney.

Another killer outfit was one she wore during her “La Isla Bonita” performance ensconcing her Gypsy theme. Tom Ford designed all of the clothing for her dancers. Apart from Madonna and her uber chique dancers there was a gypsy band who gave her old school songs a fresh and new sound. Anyways, Madonna wore this black dress that had gypsy style decorations and a pink scarf that fluttered in the wind and was just charming, thank you Jeremy Scott, Cavalli and YSL.

The grand finale of the “Sticky & Sweet” show was her famous #1 hit “Give It To Me”. During that song Madonna wore a black dominatrix style bra, a sexy belt singed under her breast and not so pretty pants, again Givenchy. I admit, the pants were ugly, but at that time I was so amazed by her performance, her physical shape and her charisma that it didn’t really matter. Madge also sported three pairs of shoes custom-made by Miu Miu, sunglasses by Moschino, some vintage prints from Keith Haring were seen, the late graffiti artist and friend of Madonna who died of AIDS in 1990.
When the “Game Over” sign turned on and the crowed started to scatter, there was a magic in the air. Madonna managed to turn more than 60,000 strangers into one enthusiastic group that continued to jump and sing out loud long after the show was over.
So, as I mentioned before, I am in love. I think Madonna nowadays is less provocative and doesn’t need cone shaped bras designed by Jean Paul Gaultier in order to magnetize the audience. The only question now is what she will bring on her next world tour. I can almost promise that I will be there and tell you all about it when she comes back into town…
Now is the time for you to write a comment. You know, something like Madonna rules, she is the queen etc. I’m sure you’ll come up with something…
See you next time,
D.

OK ladies, It’s time to say it out loud: HIGH HEELS ARE NOT FOR SANE WOMEN!
I am serious! I know it’s a fashion blog and now it’s the fashion week season and everybody want to create the clothes we will wear the for this season. This is exactly why NOW is the time to spread the word and let all women around the world know that they must take care of their backs, knees and spinal columns.
As you can see, I am a bit angrier than usual. But I have good reason. A few days ago I was at an amazing wedding, and for this special occasion, like every other woman, I wore high heels with my perfect new dress. At the beginning everything was OK, but after an hour or so, it started, my knees hurt, my back hurt and with every step I took the pain got worse and worse. Arghhhhhhhh.
In order to REALLY enjoy the evening, I had to choose between my brand new (and expensive) high heels or my mental health. I chose the second option, left my high heels in the car and changed to simple flip flops. There are not enough words to emphasize the relief I felt. All through the night we danced and had really great time, though I was few inches shorter…oh well, it was worth every inch lost!!!
The reason I am telling you this horror story is this: The last few fashion shows I had a chance to watch included some top designers like John Galliano and Karl Lagerfeld. They designed shoes that no ordinary women could OR should ever wear, period! Not only are the shoes way too high and unsteady, but also my main point being, it is very very unhealthy for our poor bodies.
So, my brothers and readers, I think it’s the time for all of us to scream out loud – Galliano, PLEASE cut out the heels and design something that is comfortable! Lagerfeld, take an example from D&G sneakers and create something women can wear during a full day at the office!
If you agree with me, write YEAH in your comments.
If you do not agree, you’d better have a very very good reason why…
See you next time

I have a confession to make: usually I hate my derrier and like most women, I do whatever I can do to hide it.. BUT it seems like from now on I will be able to show everybody my NEW bum. Wait, wait, I am not writing about a new-J-LO-Bottom thanks to cosmetic surgery, I am talking about a new Japanese trend. GET THIS!!!!!!
Like Anime or Seppuku, Japanese fashion is always on the edge between sane and in sane. The newest trend to hit Japan is the painted “booty” skirt. YES, that’s right. A skirt, that from the front, looks like any other skirt, but turn around and WOW, full on sweet cheeks. A painted tush on the back of the skirt that looks so real you will not believe it’s fake. Many Japanese women walk now days with new additions on their old rear ends and I thought, if they like it, maybe I will like it too. You know the saying, “don’t match it till yah try it”. And guess what – I did and I LOVED IT!
So, I ordered the myself a bum bum skirt (that’s what I call it) online in hopes that this newest trend will help me to get over my own tushy complex . A few days later the mail arrived, I put on the skirt, turned around and looked at my brand new bottom & panties at the mirror. What can I say – the sight wasn’t delightful (this is an understatement to say the least; I guess I should have gone for the “young bum” vs. “The granny panties” skirt…).
To make a long story short, I was brave enough to wear the see-through skirt outside, and to my great surprise it felt both weird and powerful. Believe me, it is officially a must-have item in your closet. It can be used as a kinky item (use your imagination ladies) or can be real eye catcher anywhere else. One thing you have to keep in mind – guys can take the see-through skirt the wrong way, so you have to be aware when you decide to sport the “full moon” outside of your home.
After connecting to my maternal routes, I can be myself again. The see-through skirt is one of THE best things I have ever worn in my life. It feels so strange to know that when you cross the road while I am looking both ways everyone else is looking at my bum trying to figure out what the hell is wrong with me. So I know it is not my real bum, but still it’s a tush and I bought it, so it’s basically mine and I am VERY proud of it. From now on ladies, say goodbye to cellulite and to your fears. The see through skirt will prove once and for all – WE HAVE NOTHING TO BE ASHAMED OF, MOON AWAY!!!!
Guys, this time you haaaaave to leave comments, after all you can’t ignore the cheeks…
See you next time,

 Hi everybody. I’m back again!
Before we start discussing cosmetic treatments for men, I would like to thank all of you who left comments on my previous posts. It is very warming, so keep it up guys…
Now, I know I said at the past few weeks how much I dislike men’s accessories (unless you are a sexy Latino of course), BUT there is a BIG difference between accessories and cosmetic treatments. To make a long story short – I say, guys, if you hate looking in the mirror and think a little touch-up would help – go for it! For example few good friends of mine decided to get rid of their chest hair. Every time we go to the pool / sea, it takes hours to convince them to get into the water. And I say “What’s the point?” There are all kinds of treatments, but the bottom line is we are all happier when the carpet is covered. Shhh don’t tell my friends!
My point is, guys, if you have the money and you can take the pain (admit it – you can’t handle pain like us women can), don’t wait other moment. This is the perfect time to change your future. SUMMER IS HERE AFTER ALL!!!!
Just one sec before you run to the nearest surgeon or hair removal clinic, make sure you’ve checked and double-checked the company, always find out the success rate they have alongside the years and the qualifications of your personal surgeon/esthetician. The last thing you want is to wake up only to realize that instead of a new little new nose, you have huge Angelina Jolie-style lips…OR WORSE TUSH IMPLANTS!!!!!!!!
Oh and one last thing – don’t become a cosmetic-freak. It’s only nice when you keep your original face on. Don’t think because I like surgery for men this means I want you to turn yourself into the new Michel Jackson. Be careful and change only what needs changing, think before you slice people.
See you, love you (waiting for your comments…)

Ok guys; hold your horses for a minute. I read all of your comments during the week (by the way, can you write more comments, it’s very warming…) anyway, the fact that Svetlana and I for example, the fact that I do not like men’s accessories should not be a reason for web-clashes. Remember, it’s just an opinion. Just as good and legit as your own.
So, where were we? Oh, yes, I remember. I was busy telling you how I do not like the metro sexual trend. If you haven’t enough of my anti- accessory talk , here are some more hated accessories a la Deb:
Bracelets and necklaces – in this section I can divide men into 2 groups – those with the Latino sexy chique and those without it. If you are a sexy Latino, with chocolate brown skin, nice muscles and a warm welcoming look in your eyes, you are more than welcome to wear bracelets and necklaces. On you, those accessories look so HOT that it makes me wanna <BEEP> you… If you are not qualified to fit to the Latino sexy-chique look, skip wearing the accessories all together.
Tattoos – this section also divides men into 2 categories – those who have the sculpted body and have classy, meaningful tattoos which I like very much. On the other hand, I can’t ignore the fact that some men get huge tattoos on their backs, arms and legs with dragons, demons, eagles or snakes. I can’t imagine myself walking hand in hand, sharing a romantic moment with a guy only to discover once he removes his shirt a massive skull and crossbones- NO WAY! Definitely NOT romantic!
Belts – this is another accessory that if you know how to wear them well, you’ll create the sexy cool look. BUT – if you over do it and wear belts with an enormous buckle that makes you look like Elvis’s twin, well… I’ll skip dessert please.
In order to make a long story short, I prefer my men sexy but natural (guys, by natural I don’t mean you need to put your deodorant aside…) Speaking of “natural”, men who wear cologne that works with their skin type and is not OVERPOWERING, totally makes me melt in a second. Yes, there is nothing that arouses me more than a man that smells good. If you need recommendations: Calvin Klein or D&G are the best choices.
I think that’s it for men’s accessories. Next time: cosmetic treatments for men (don’t think you can guess my thoughts about it…)
Take care (and… come on… leave a comment… it’s for free…)
Bye bye
J
