Is Humidity Being Friendly to My Hair?
Wednesday, August 27th, 2008The other day we went to celebrate my friend’s birthday at a special gourmet restaurant on a beautiful dock, nearby the beach. The air was fresh and clean, and the wind caused my hair flirting lightly with my back. There was one problem though, that appears every time when I arrive to the beach area: humidity. Usually, before I go out, my hair is soft, fragrant and light due to the hair washing and fanning. Therefore, there is nothing more annoying and upsetting then humid air that’s ruining the hairdo and causing the hair to be humid and sticky.

Apparently, it has to do with the molecular structure of the hair, but instead of “digging” the scientific reasons I decided to give you some good tips how to avoid this situation. There are ways to protect the hair and keep its texture glossy instead of frizzy.

These are a few ways recommended by hair stylists:
- Use deep conditioning products.
- Use anti-frizz line products.
- Before you go out, select a style with natural waves.
- At the beginning of the summer, select a nice haircut that will fit your hair type and won’t make it look frizzy.
- If it’s an important event, go to a professional hair stylist who will give your hair all the appropriate products.
There is a nice movie with a few models that seem that don’t suffer from the humidity phenomenon…
Enjoy!
Enjoy!
