Happy Obama day! Well its been 45 years since Martin Luther King spoke and yesterday was the day a black president became elect for the first time in the western world! I am so happy that Obama won, I could feel the liveness in the air yesterday and it felt xmas day. I felt as thought it was really a time for change, not only for americans but for afro carribeans and the ethnic minority all over the globe.

Seeing that Barack Obama has won and he is the president of United states I feel as though he needs prayer and I wish him well in his work, I mean everyone wants peace and unity and if America is going to be the place where it all starts, then so be it.

U=UNDERESTIMATE

M= ME

D.U.M Stands for Dont Underestimate Me. I have had alot of mishaps and encountered a lot of negative people along my way, some of which try a find a way to put me down. But what they dont know is that they keep me going!

I have been underestimated in many ways and by many people, and the only reason it hurts a little is because I dont underestimate myself. I have a lot of plans for my future and I know my future is in gods hands only, but I would like to think there are people out there who want good for the next person as much as they want good for themselves.

Ive been a busy bee lately, with uni, work and modelling assignments and sometimes I feel a little under the weather… (Its raining right now!!)

Saturday, I had a photoshoot with a male model modelling for a designer called Myra Stuart. Her website is under construction at the moment but you can find out a bit more about her clothes on Fashionspace ( tea-and oranges) It was great. I will upload some pictures shortly.

Hi guys,

Its been a while, and no i havent forgotten to write ive just been real busy. Anyway, I thought id share with you something that is important and for you to be aware of . I was recently a victim of fraud and a supposed modelling freelance agaent was offering me a well paid spread in ok and essentials magazine. He was offering a lot of money and had told me he saw my porile and picures on a website and that he wanted to know if i was interested in the job.

Well i thought i was, and he told me he’d send out a contract  and details of the shoot, so he asked for my address and i made the cardinal sin of giving it to him.

Well, anyway I received a fraudulent cheque from an insurance company and he had emailed me telling me to cash the cheque immediately and send the remaining amount to the so called mua.

I checked the essentials magazine website where they had up an important notice about so called photograghers and agents doing illegal scams and fraud so i contacted the papers.

I want this blog to be an awareness so please ladies… and gents be careful and dont trust anyone with your details and throughly check out all sites etc before accepting any jobs. I also contacted the police.

 make sure all jobs go through your agency, and take thier details .. dont give yours.

Hey guys… How u doin>>. its been a while.

I just thought id update you with some stuff thats been goin on. Remeber that time i told you i had a really important casting to attend? Well I went . It was for Goks Beauty Show.. (This show is suppose to be a suprise to the nation.. but i cant shut my mouth!)

I got through and had to go all the way to Blackpool on Saturday night by coach which was an 8hr drive! The Same time it took me to get to New york!! Well anyway I had to do a few challenges and tasks.. a bikini one, which was quite embarrising ! haha!! you’ll see for yourself as the show will be aired on Channel 4 October the 21st! Hope you enjoy.

Unfortunately I did not make it into the model house but i met some really great inspiring people, so great.. that i have something coming up.. I really cant tell you this one.!! x

Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you to all the lovely people who take time to read my blogs and have been leaving me wonderful comments, they make me smile and I do appreciate them all.

Hey guys, as you know, i recently entered a modelling competition fot uks top model of colour. I was fortunate enough to be shortlisted and have taken part.I had learnt alot from that experience and recieved great feedback from the judges but unfortunately I did not make it through to the finale.

Well anyway, I had a real great time and met some cool people.  Ihave a very important and exciting casting to go to tommorow… Ill tell you all about it later!

Hey  peepz, wats good with ya? Sorry its been a while .. i been so busy lately trying to juggle the last bits of uni work as well as fashion shows ive had to do etc.  jus been trying to sort out a holiday cause i really need one desperately.

Anyway, ive been  shortlisted for a modelling competition and my heat date is 9th of august so i would love you all to attend and support me. xx

Finally.. VOGUE! WELL what more  can i say but oh fuck!! I cant  wait till the july issue arrives. im so pleased that black models are becoming more mainstream and i hope that uk vogue will follow very soon.

My lifes been pretty hecitc lately , ive had so much to deal with and my determination was slippin a little bit but IM BACK… IM BACK ON TRACK NOW.

Well after a long three years of being in a serious relationship, heartwrenchingly.. I found out the lame punk I was seeing was cheating on me! Oh well words cant express how im feeling right now.. but Im a strong independant woman that WILL get over it .. pretty soon I hope!!

I have not uplodaded any pics because i reallY dont have any that actually exprss the mood im in!

Anyway, Im soooo excited I have a real big fashion show coming next month..  and im training trying to get my bod in the prefect shape ever. I looking for a sponsor so those of you that know any legit companies or agencies.. fell free to let me know and I will keep you posted on dates of the events I have planned as I would love to share them with you all. Im going home to watch some more fashion tv and sit in front of the telly with some oreos!

I am tryin to sort out my internship for next year as I have one more year before I graduate, so maybe u guys will see me on your screen dominating the stations sooner than u think! (I hope!)

After a week a shoots, I finally recieved my first disc. !!! yay!

Its countdown for me… I have two weeks ..or a little under just before I finish uni for three long months and im going to be busy busy busy! Im trying to plan a holiday this year, somewhere in Europe..(not spain) but im unsure of where to go!? I dont think im ready for paris yet. I wanna party and have mad fun!

I came back from New York after spending a week out there for my 21st bday, it was great. I return in september… just before I go back to uni! But im trying find some where fantastic to let my fro down..

Any suggestions???

Well this is my first time ever writing a blog…

Thoughts on Modelling: Industry is not racist.. it is ridiculous! Designers are scared and casting agents are doubtful.. It will change. It has too! I love Modelling with a passion theres no other job in the whole world Id like to do every single day of my life… except being a mother… and thats so not for now!!

 I thought I could share my experiences with you. Im a model studying Media Production and Journalism at University. I strive to balance my modelling career and my studies evenly so that I can be the best in what I do. I have worked with the likes of Sarah Ormanroyd, Nicole Gabriel, Hazel -Nelson Williams, Simone Williams and a few fashion universities and colleges.

After an intense 6 weeks of catwalk training, working with a top choreographer Rosiewhitney-Fish, I was casted to Model for a few days at Alternative Fashion Week 2008. The experience was great! The press consisted of between 6-8 newspapers and a few magazines and videographers.The competiton was firece .. but then so was I! I have been selected for a modelling competion and I need all your votes… so keep posted on my blogs for more details!!! Sadly AFW is now over, but I should be modelling for ‘the best of AFW’ next month at Croydon Festival.. So come and visit. I have uploaded a few images from the event.. have a look and enjoy!
